🏢 About the Role
Swashodhan Trust is planning to establish a Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendra at Narnoor PHC to improve access to quality generic medicines for rural and tribal communities. The pharmacist will lead document collection, application and registration support, pharmacy setup, software use, procurement, dispensing, inventory, billing, regulatory records and day-to-day operations.
🧠 Role Summary
This role is designed as a transition from salaried support to independent entrepreneurship. Salary support is provided for an initial period of six months, extendable up to a maximum of one year. Thereafter the pharmacist is expected to independently own, manage and operate the Jan Aushadhi Kendra as an entrepreneur, generating personal income and sustainable pharmacy revenue — subject to applicable approvals, licences and written terms.
🕐 Working Hours: As per the approved Narnoor PHC and Jan Aushadhi Kendra operating schedule | Location: Narnoor PHC, Adilabad (must reside within walking distance)
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
Collect, prepare, verify and maintain all documents required for application, registration, approval and setup of the Jan Aushadhi Kendra; track submissions and coordinate follow-up
Support site readiness and pharmacy establishment — licences, registrations, approved layout, storage, equipment, software, stock planning, supplier coordination and opening preparations
Procure, receive, store, dispense and account for medicines against valid prescriptions; maintain cold-chain requirements and prevent expired or damaged stock from being issued
Use the approved Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana software for billing, purchase entries, stock management, expiry tracking, reports and authorized transactions
