OpenEMR Application Package Specialist with experience in implementing on a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
The developer will build dynamic open-source web applications, troubleshoot server and database issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.
This role requires a strong background in:
• 🐧 Ubuntu Linux LTS
• ⚙️ Apache2 Server Configuration
• 🗄️ MySQL Database Design
• 💻 PHP Development
• 🌐 Web Technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

⚙️ Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain dynamic web applications using the LAMP stack on GCP
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP code
Design and manage MySQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance
Configure and optimize Apache web server for deployment
Troubleshoot and debug server, application, or database issues
Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, and project managers for end-to-end delivery
Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
Ensure security best practices (guarding against SQL injection, XSS, etc.)
Follow coding guidelines, use analyzers, and write unit tests
Produce clear, concise documentation for code and systems
🧩 Essential Skills & Qualifications
🖥️ Strong proficiency in PHP 7+, MySQL, Apache, and Ubuntu Linux systems
☁️ Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud environments
🌍 Strong foundation in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
🔗 Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
🧰 Server administration (Linux) and troubleshooting experience
⚙️ Knowledge of Apache2 implementation and configuration
🗃️ MySQL implementation, configuration, and administration expertise
🔒 PHP environment configuration, fine-tuning, and customization
🧾 Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems
🤝 Ability to manage multiple projects independently or within a team
💬 Strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills
📊 Budgeting and forecasting ability for IT services
🎓 Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, IT, or related field — or equivalent experience
